German Fest, Milwaukee
Milwaukee’s ethnic fests continue this weekend at Henry Maier Festival Park, where German Fest takes place Thursday, July 25-Sunday, July 28. Established in 1981, the true spirit of authentic German culture is alive and well at this festival, where you can find culinary favorites such as bratwurst, potato pancakes and strudel, plus 10,000 pounds of sauerkraut! Live music on six stages, a soccer tournament and the dachshund derby are all family favorites back at this year’s German Fest. Stop by to celebrate Milwaukee’s German heritage!
Taste of Lake Country, Pewaukee
The North Shore Bank’s Taste of Lake Country runs Friday, July 26-Saturday, July 27 in downtown Pewaukee. Nestled on Pewaukee Beach, a delicious menu will be provided by 16 of Lake Country’s favorite eateries, from local restaurants such as Weissgerber’s Golden Mast to fan favorite Famous Dave’s. Hear live music from two bands each on both Friday and Saturday. Enjoy all of the festivities from 5-10:30pm on Friday and 4-10:30pm on Saturday in the heart of Pewaukee’s downtown.
Milwaukee’s 4th Annual Brewfest, Milwaukee
The 4th annual 2013 Milwaukee Brewfest is on Saturday, July 27 at 3pm, where you can sample over 250 craft beers, micro brews and ciders from around the world. Held at the Old Cost Guard Pavilion Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront, this prime location offers beautiful views of McKinely Marina and Lake Michigan. In addition to plenty of beer, there will be musical performances, a silent auction and games to benefit charities, food sampling from various Wisconsin companies and other food for purchase from vendors.
