Warmer days are finally here and the skilled members of the Shorewest team are hard at work to ensure that any clients we are serving understand the ever-evolving market we are currently experiencing. One of the most exciting points of the quarter has been our involvement with the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association’s (WRA) mission to bring new legislation to the Wisconsin Government to improve housing accessibility throughout the state. Through five different bills, the WRA team, including WRA chairperson and Shorewest President Joe Horning, has worked to address issues such as rehabilitation of existing homes, conversion of commercial buildings to residential and funding of new construction. Shorewest is proud to stand behind this mission and continue to help our community members achieve their goal of homeownership, no matter what challenges they might face.
As the Shorewest family pushed on with our mission of community outreach and presence, we added a brand-new and exciting event to our roster. This year, Shorewest, REALTORS® was proud to sponsor Shorewest Children’s Fest Day at Summerfest. Through this event, not only were we able to provide all guests with free admittance to Summerfest in the early afternoon, but we were able to highlight both Milwaukee branches of Habitat for Humanity and Make a Wish as our “community partners” as well. The event was not only incredibly fun, but a great way to involve ourselves with the community and give back through a family-friendly activity on a Friday afternoon.
