Forgotten Cleaning Spots

In the chaos of daily life, cleaning might not always be the first thing that comes to mind, especially the spots that are out of your regular line of sight. While it may be easy to remember that you need to scrub countertops and vacuum floors, there are plenty of nooks and crannies that escape the average homeowner’s attention. These forgotten places can harbor dust, grime and even germs if left unattended! Don’t worry, we’re here to help.

Behind and Underneath Appliances

How often do you pull out your refrigerator or stove to clean behind and underneath? For many homeowners, the answer is probably “not enough.” Over time, these spaces accumulate dust, crumbs, and sometimes even mold! A quick sweep or vacuum behind and underneath appliances can make a big difference in maintaining a clean kitchen.

Fans and Vents
Fans and vents of any kind are known dust collectors, but often get overlooked when it comes time to clean. Dirt, dust, hair and more can build up making it difficult for fans and vents, especially in areas like bathrooms, to work. Give these spots a once over while doing your usual home cleanup and you’ll be sure to notice a difference in air flow quality!

Baseboards and Molding

Another most commonly forgotten area when it comes to cleaning? Baseboards and molding! These horizontal surfaces accumulate dust, pet hair, and other debris over time, yet they often go unnoticed until they become visibly dirty. A thorough cleaning with a damp cloth or sponge can help keep these areas looking fresh and prevent dust from accumulating in your home, which will ultimately make your home healthier, too!

Inside Cabinets and Drawers

While we may clean the surfaces of our cabinets and drawers regularly, how often do we clean inside them? Over time, crumbs, spills and dirt can start to build up from daily use of cabinets and drawers, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Taking the time to empty out and wipe down the insides of these spaces can help maintain an organized space, even in the most well loved of areas!

Maintaining a clean space takes more than just wiping counters and mopping floors一you can’t forget about those out of sight spots, either! By adding these spots to your usual cleaning routine, you’ll be sure to notice a happier, cleaner and healthier home in no time!
