Fall décor includes pumpkins and gourds, but how can you make them last until Thanksgiving? Whether you want to decorate with pumpkin indoor or outdoor, the threat of them getting soft spots or rotting may hinder how long you can keep your pumpkins. Keep reading to find out how you can make your pumpkins last all season!

 

Supplies

  • Water pail
  • Pumpkins
  • Bleach
  • Vaseline
  • Soft Cloth

 

  1. Give your pumpkins a bath with 10 cups water and 1 cup bleach. Soak your pumpkins with the stem side down.

 

  1. Let dry for 10 minutes.

 

  1. Buff with Vaseline and a soft cloth to make them shiny.

 

  1. Ta-Da! Your pumpkins will last the fall season.
