In Remembrance of Donald F. Horning

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Don Horning.

Don was an incredible person and a leader in our family of companies for over 60 years. He was respected throughout the industry and was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors in 2005.

They say people don’t remember what you say or what you do as much as how you made them feel. Don had a gift for everyone he met feel special. He took the time to greet each person with a smile and he would ask them about their family. Don wrote thousands of handwritten notes with his signature felt tip pen. Notes that are cherished and saved by many at their desks to this day. He was a Ninja before Ninja was a thing.

Don loved real estate and the people he worked with each day. He would remind us that real estate was about the FAMILIES we serve each day. He embodied our mission statement, “WE ARE A TEAM…”

Giving back and serving others were hallmarks of his. Don founded our company’s Casual Day Program in 1993 providing support for local charities throughout our state. He also served food each month to the needy in Milwaukee.

Don was always there to listen and share a hug. We are all better for having known him.

The formal obituary and service information can be found here.
